A not-for-profit organisation dedicated to creating housing solutions that foster learning, development and independence for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals entering the workforce or commencing tertiary studies from remote communities.
Safe & Secure Housing
Our Vision
The housing solution aims to provide 30 one bedroom, fully furnished self-contained units in addition to on-site support from live in administration officers. These units are in place to support young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals who have relocated from remote communities and are transitioning from school / boarding facilities to employment or further studies.
Supportive Living Environment
We aim to provide a holistic model of care that encompasses emotional, social and cultural well-being ensuring young people succeed in this home away from home while maintaining, preserving and valuing community, culture and family connections. The accommodation facility will include support functions and common areas including a computer laboratory, semi-commercial kitchen to teach the cooking skills and facilitate group activities and private rooms for support service access. The organisation will also provide guidance and connect residents with government agencies, tutors, learner driving instructors, employment services, financial planning and mentoring.
Community Focused Care
Set to Succeed will assist in closing the gap for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth from remote communities. With a goal to receive support from Commonwealth, State, and Local Government, together with other corporate allies, we can create long term benefits for the wider community by supporting technical life skills for generations to come.
